Abstract :
Sexual harassment has not been specifically stated in any provisions in Malaysian law and the word itself is not been defined by any statute. However, there are statutory provisions that may be applicable to this act. Sexual harassment falls under criminal and civil offences. Even though the issue of sexual harassment is always focused at the workplace, it may happen anywhere either in public place, academic setting or via Internet. Islam is also against this conduct as it is inconsistant with the actual teaching. This article will elaborate sexual hara ssment under Malaysia law and Islamic perspective.
