Abstract :
Today’s rapid advancement in medical technology has shed new light in remedying complex complications. In treating fertility for example, the present-day technology offers numerous surgical procedures including surgery on the reproductive organs. There are two types of reproductive organs; the first is the organ that carries genetic information that is the testis or the ovary whereas the second is the organs that do not carry any informational genetics such as the womb, fallopian tube, vagina and the penis. The majority of clerics prohibit the organ transplantation of the first type as it falls under the ruling of alteration of Allah SWT’s creations which is not permissible by Him supported by the Prophet’s prohibition of emasculation. Whereas the latter, majority of clerics permit the practice in times of emergency with the exception of ‘aurat mughallazah, that is the vagina and the penis as no involvement of genetics takes place.
