Abstract :
Parallel with rapid increase in elderly population, common problems seen in old age becoming a problem for community. A major health problem of aging society’s dementia becomes due to vascular-degenerative changes and follows a progressive and irreversible process. The main objectives for dementia care is to protect the functionality and reduce disability of the patient, regulation of environment and the relations to maintain stability, to compensate the losses caused by disease, and to ensure the therapeutic environment to protect and ensure the quality of life. To achieve these goals nurses are expected to recognize the needs of patient with current and practical information, to choose the right tools and give appropriate care;and to support the caregivers in all stages of disease, diagnosis, treatment and care process
