Abstract
It is well-known that smoking the health of people of all age groups. Smoking is a substance that is much more risky for children, because in parallel to the growth and development; the process of learning about healthy lifestyle habits are also continuing. Children’s health promotion, protection as well as positive lifestyle habits, lead to a healthy childhood,adolescence, adulthood and old age. Healthy children need to be addressed for the future of healthy individuals, and constitute an important group of society. There are important responsibilities for the lawmakers and non-governmental organizations in challenging the hazards of smoking. This article aims at providing information about the responsibilities of community nurses at preventive health care settings towards protecting children from the hazards of smoking beginning from the prenatal period to school age.
