Abstract :
Th e objective of t his research is to study t he ability of a meshless met hod , called fini te point method, in solvi ng incompressible fluid flow problems using two stabil ization schemes. T he main goal of meshless methods is to reduce or remove the cost of grid generat ion. T his issue is imp lement ed using the sati sfaction of governing differential equat ions on a regular or ir regular set of nodes by interpolation fu nctions , based on special least -squares approximat ions. In t his research, t he fi nite point method is used to solve the Stokes and t he Navier-Stokes equat ions by employing two different stabilization schemes. In addition , th e effects of leastsquares appro ximat ions are studi ed.
