Abstract :
Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) based on linear programming, compares Decision Making Units (DMU) which are assumed to be homogen with respect to various input and output properties and provides efficiency analysis. The best observation is accepted as efficiency limit, and rest of the observations can be evaluated with respect to this limit called as referance point. One of the most important property differs DEA from the other efficiency measurement models is allowance to use input-output weights. In this study two different DEA models are formulated for comparison of various laptop brands and their models. One of the model is unrestricted on weights while the other is not. In the second model weights are determined by using pairwise comparison matrix of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHY), allows to include experts opinions.
