Abstract :
In this research, the anticorrosion properties of epoxy-based nanocomposite coating were studied using the Taguchi statistical method. An L16 orthogonal array with four control factors at four levels and two iterations was employed to prepare nanocomposite coating by adding chitosan nanoparticles and alumina nanoparticles in different conditions including concentrations, temperatures, and mixing times. The analysis of variance and signal-to-noise ratio demonstrated that applying film coating on steel panels could signifcantly enhance anticorrosion properties. The optimal conditions required for nanocomposite coating preparation were alumina nanoparticles 2%, chitosan nanoparticles 2%, temperature of 20C, and a mixing time of 30 minutes. Finally, the surface of the coated flm was analyzed by SEM.
