Abstract :
Multi-Walled Carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) have been synthesized in high yields by are discharge using a mixture of (FeS/Co) and (FeS/Ni) powders in a helium atmosphere. These results were monitored using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), which showed that theyield of MWCNTs with FeS/Co is much higher than that obtained with FeSlNi. Raman Spectroscopy was used to characterize the MWCNTs. The ratio of intensity of the graphitic mode to the defect mode (IG/In) shows that the quality and crystallinity of MWCNTs, which were synthesized using FeSlNi catalysts is higher than those produced from FeS/Co.
