Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the integration of style with the messages in the selected poems of the five poets from Sabah namely Ariffin Arif, Ramli AR, Hasyuda Abadi, Norawi Kata and Sahara Jais. The study is a library research using content and descriptive analyses. Analysis and discussion are based on the principle of integration and relation based on the theory of Integrated Aesthetics proposed by Abdul Halim Ali (2010). The finding shows that the elements of style such as metaphor, personification, allusion, anaphora and hyperbole are included consciously by the poets and aim specifically to convey their thoughts about the greatness of God, to know the essence of self, the intelligence of mankind and the greatness of love towards God. The finding also proved the integration of style of the figurative language with the integrated thinking and messages the poets wanted to convey. The profound religious message to enlighten the reader of the greatness of God is illustrated in the Asma al-Husna that brings in the greatness and beauty of the truth. Similarly, the message to the reader is to know the essence of self and to care for fellow human beings and to bring the reader to understand the value of the greatness of human love for God.
