Abstract :
In general the Chinese are pragmatic for religions and beliefs. In Malaysia since independence until the 1969 racial conflict, religion is not a sensitive issue that alienate ethnic groups in Malaysia. After 1969, the socio-economic issues, socio-political and socio-cultural more have a place in race relations, especially between Chinese and Malays. However, the Chinese perspective on Islam has peaked in recent years. This situation occurs not only in Malaysia but in other places in the world due to public awareness of the rights and freedom of speech in the context of liberal-democratic society. Therefore, this article was written to hightlights this issue within the framework of transformative learning theory. The author searched this issue on opinion and most previous studies are largely perception alone. This is because there is still an open and comprehensive study on this complex issue of Chinese perspective on Islam . Therefore, this article explains in simple nature of the Chinese perspective on Islam in the frame of mind of the Malays. However, these discussions take into account the views of both Malay and Chinese writers. In general, the fundamental question that arises from the Chinese perspective on Islam is very much related to the premises Malay is Islam and its relationship with the survival of the Malays as stated in the Constitution of Malaysia.
