Abstract :
New optical oxygen sensor based on the quenching of triplet-triplet (T-T) absorption of fullerene (C(60)) molecules by oxygen using laser flash photolysis has heen developed. The lifetime oF T-T absorption of C(60) in polystyrene decreases wilh an increase of oxygen concentrations. A SLern-Volmer plot of C(60) exhibits considerable linearity (r(2)=0.999) and K(sv) is estimated to be 0.50%(-1), indicating thal C(60) Film is high sensitive oxygen sensor.
