Abstract
A novel aerobic, environmentally friendly oxidation of hydroxylamines to nitrones catalyzed bytetra-n-propylammonium perruthenate (TPAP) is reported. Complete conversions and reasonable to excellent yields were obtained for cyclic hydroxylamines.
