Abstract :
Alcohols and trimethylsilyl and tetrahydropyranyl ethers are efficiently converted to their corresponding carbonyl compounds with KBrO3 in the presence of Fe(HSO4)3 and wet SiO2 in solution and under solvent free conditions.
