Abstract
Otoman educational system, constructed on one to one interaction between student and teacher. It was a student-active educational system. Educational drama, by taking learning by experience in center, seems as a student-active teaching method. Did Ottoman educators know this method? Or was there any applications or organisations like that? This paper is written by the motivation of these questions. As a result its possible to say that; in last years of Ottoman state educational drama is used in pre-school education. But in primary and upper education levels it is not used in lessons. Some traditional practices or organisations held in educational life, looks like educational drama by their planning and practicing ways. This causes us to think that, teachers and parents of this period realised the importance of experiental learning. It can be said that Ottoman education has an inclination on educational drama.
