Abstract :
SUBJECT AND OBJECTIVES: Allah s Days (Ayyamullah) are remarkable days that represent milestones in the life of humanity and mark the turning point in the history of nations and individuals that bring them closer to Him through His remembrance and worship. The present study demonstrates the necessity of discovering and recognizing these days in history and in the current context of time; as well as the function of paying attention to this issue in giving meaning to modern human life. METHOD AND FINDING: It utilizes the contextual study of Quranic exegesis of Surah Ibrahim and Surah Jathiyah and authentic narrations from the Holy Prophet and Infallible Imams to deduce indicators from the selected examples depicting Allah s Days in the stories and incidents mentioned in the Quran. This research also presents practical examples of different types of days under each category that can be identified and extrapolated from indicators within the current time, that humans can relate to in their daily life. By recognizing and appreciating Allah s Days in history and in our current world and personal lives, practical lessons can be applied to seek proximity to Him by removing ourselves from the state of neglect and heedlessness and remembering Him through His auspicious days. CONCLUSION: Our results show that Allah s Days are categorized into three main interpretations that are the days which the bounty of Allah is manifested for the believers, the days in which the punishment and retribution of Allah are manifested for the nonbelievers and the days when the divine traditions are manifested across nations and across time which highlight the absolute authority of God, His mercy and justice to the believers and nonbelievers.
