The present study aimed to investigate the effect of coffee and nescafe on blood glucose level and lipid profile of diabetic male rats. Methods: 200 mg/kg from coffee and nescafe were used, and the animals were treatment for 30 days. Results: the results showed a significant increase in blood glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, Low density lipoprotein (LDL),Very low density lipoprotein (VLDL), whereas it explained a significant decrease in high density lipoprotein (HDL) of the diabetic male rats when compared with control group. the results showed a significant increase in blood glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, (LDL), (VLDL), whereas it explained a significant decrease in (HDL) of the rats treated with coffee and nescafe at dose 200 mg/kg when compared with diabetic male rats and control group. The obtained results showed that the consumption of coffee and nescafe showed an adverse effect on various biological markers of the lipid profile of diabetic male rats.
