Abstract :
This study aimed to renew and update slope class and altitude steps of Turkey with technological data which was prepared various dates (Tanoğlu, 1947- Tunçdilek, 1969). In this purpose, digital elevation model of Turkey was obtained and created digital slope model. For new data, reclassifying these models, tabulated, graphicated and queried the results helped us. In this study,, contain whole of Turkey, Turkey geographical regions and sub regions, sometimes new data was obtained when sometimes the same or so closely data was obtained with last studies. At the end, it is obtained that, Turkey has 1141 m average altitude and 17 % slope. And it is cleared that, Turkey’s most flat region is Southwest Anatolian Region, the lowest region is Marmara Region, most gradient region is Black Sea Region and the highest region is East Anatolian Region. This situation, the flat and lowest sub-region is Ergene, thew highest sub-region is Van and most gradient region is East Black Sea Sub-Region (almost equal with Hakkari Sub-Region). One of the result of this study is between 0- 200, 1000-1100 and 1600-1700 meters and they are very large We think that; If the study results are considered at the regional planning, the plans will be successful.
