Abstract :
Aims: This study was performed to provide a causal model of personality traits and meaning in life with post-traumatic growth, with a mediating role of psychological resilience in veterans.
Materials & Methods: The method of this research is descriptive-correlational. Data analysis is done through the path analysis and structural equations. The statistical population of the study was all veterans under the support of Sabzevar Martyr Foundation in 2021 and 320 subjects were selected as a sample. To collect data, Post-traumatic Growth Inventory (PTGI), The Brief Hexaco Inventory (BHI), Meaning in Life questionnaire (MLQ), and The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) were used. All these analyzes were performed by SPSS24 and LISREL 8.8 software.
Findings: The proposed model had a good fit (GFI: 0.86, CFI: 0.92). Also, personality traits and meaning in life, directly and indirectly, affected post-traumatic growth.
Conclusion: This model can be a good model for identifying the factors involved in post-traumatic growth of veterans and the results of this study can be used for planning to increase post-traumatic growth.
