Abstract :
An analysis of on-line tiuionomotcs robust tracking controller based on variable structure control is presented for an aerospace iaunch. vehicle, Decentralized sliding-mode controller is designed to achieve the decoupled asymptotic tracking of guidance commands upon. plant unccrtainiics and external disturbances. Development and application of the controller fOT un aerospace launch oehicle dtlring atmospheric flighl in an erpcrimenicl setting is presented to illustrate the perjorttuuice of the control olqoriilin, against uniid qust. and internal dynam:ics uariaiions. The proposed sliding mode control is compared to non-linear and time-varying gain sclieilulcd aiitopiiot arul its superior perjormomce is illustrated by simuloiion results. Furthermore. the proposed sliding-mode controller is convenient for irnplcm,cnt(!tion.
