THE EFFECTS OF CLASSICAL BALLET PERFORMANCE ON AUDIENCE

The work is a descriptive research prepared to evaluate the thoughts of the audience having seen the ballet performance in order to determine the effects of classical ballet on the audience realistically. The views of the audience have been taken by a questionnaire applied on the audience of the ballet performance of “The Nutcracker” prepared by Uludag and Mersin University State Conservatories and staged in Bursa and Mersin after they had just watched it. 1392 people attended the questionnaire and mentioned their views and feelings about the ballet having been watched as well as the adequacy of the universal art music and opera ballet facilities in Turkey. The ballet performance has been approved a lot and facilities of universal art music and opera and ballet which are important elements of it, have been mentioned as inadequate. Furthermore it has been suggested that the decision makers should take more efficient precautions to make those works of art available fort the public.
