Abstract :
The protracted conflicts in Nigeria have tended to defy conflict resolution and management thereby creating possible conflict resurgence in post-conflict management era. This ugly scenario clearly depicts the fact that post-conflict management arrangement has not offered any hope for peace and stability in the country. Findings showed that the skewed relationship in cultural, political, economic and religious cleavages among the various contending ethnic groups have engendered conflict resistance as intractable menace in Nigeria. The study among others recommends a renewed relational approach and restructured political interface among the contending social and political groups for peaceful co-existence in the contemporary Nigeria.
