A Different Approach to Preventing Sexual Abuse: Child Awareness, Do not Touch My Body!

This study was carried out to draw attention to child awareness, the level of awareness, and education requirements in preventing child sexual abuse. Issues such as reservations about teaching sexuality to children, social norms, and parents insistence on continuing to use their upbringing style in raising children cause the persistence of problems in this important area. Including parents awareness education in their child-rearing processes is a considerable step in preventing sexual abuse cases. Besides, for children to be able to protect themselves, their awareness of sexual abuse should be increased. The way to achieve this awareness is education.
