Abstract :
Objective: This study was carried out as a cross-sectional descriptive study to determine the healthy lifestyle behaviors and anthropometric measurements of the employees of Provincial Health Directorate. Methods: The population of the study consisted of 175 people working in the Provincial Health Directorate. The sample of the Provincial Health Directorate, who accepted to participate in the study (n=166) was included in the sampling. In addition, height-weight, waist circumference measurements, waist / height ratios, body mass index (BMI) were calculated. Descriptive statistics, indepented t Anova and Tukey test were used to evaluate the data. Results: The mean age of the participants was 40.95 ± 9.24 years, 46.7% of them were male, 42.9% of female patients were compared to BMI, 44.9% were male, 44.9% were mildly obese, 23.6% were obese, according to waist / height ratio; 64.9% of females and 87.6% of males were found to be at risk. It was found that the mean score of the participants was medium level (128.79 ± 19.78), the highest score was taken as spiritual development and the lowest score was taken from physical activity sub-dimension. It was determined that the health responsibility score of the obese people was lower, the physical activity score of the single ones was higher, the health responsibility, nutrition and total scale score of the ones with higher education status were found to be higher, and the difference between the groups was found to be statistically significant (p 0.05). Conclusion: Health promotion behaviors start in the family and continue to be shaped by trainings. For this reason, it is recommended to take necessary measures, planning and encouraging trainings in order to increase the health-enhancing behaviors of the participants from medium to good or very good level.
