Abstract
Chronic diseases have negative effects on various dimensions of the patient’s life. One of the effective factors in Physical activity (PA) is the presence or absence of pain in a person. This study aims to examine associations between physical activity and types of pain with Self-efficacy. In this cross-sectional study, patients with chronic pain were examined. Inclusion criteria included informed consent to participate in the study, having at least 65 years of age and the ability to communicate verbally. Incomplete questionnaires were also withdrawal from the study. The tools used, including self-efficacy questionnaire of patients, VAS Scale and Rapid Assistance of Physical Activity (RAPA). Data analysis was performed using SPSS software version 16 and descriptive statistical tests. Result showed that most of the patients in the study were male with a rate of 46.9%, unmarried with a rate of 72% and also 33.1% of people were in the age range of 76-80 years. also Result showed, there was a significant relationship between physical activity and self-efficacy. Likewise, regarding the relationship between self-efficacy and pain, it was shown that p-value was 0.000, F-value was 126.53, and Mean Square value was 180.08. Considering the low status of self-efficacy, physical activity and pain, it is suggested that necessary interventions be carried out in this field.
