Abstract
Purpose: The strategy for rejuvenating and economically revitalizing villages has been introduced to implement rural development and upliftment by establishing a new economic system focusing on planning, participation, and training of villagers. The current research was conducted investigating the factors affecting the economic revitalization of rural areas with a meta-analysis approach.Methods: This research is fundamental in terms of its purpose, and the method of conducting it is qualitative and of the synthesis research type (Roberts’ six-stage synthesis research model), which uses a meta-combination strategy. The unit of analysis in this research is all the research done about the economic revitalization of rural areas. To collect the required information, the researcher’s checklist was used.Results: from the combination and classification of 81 concepts, 24 sub-categories, and 7 core categories including; Economic factors, technological and technological factors, managerial factors, human factors, institutional factors, infrastructural and welfare factors, and natural environment factors have been obtained as effective factors on the economic revitalization of rural areas.Conclusion: The results showed that several factors are involved in the economic revival of rural areas. The strategy of economic revitalization of rural areas follows the principles of bottom-up planning for the reconstruction of rural communities. The rural revitalization strategy is a bottom-up approach, which means that the rural community should participate in the planning process of the economic revitalization of rural areas and actively participate in all levels of planning by taking advantage of qualified leadership.
