  • Abstract
CRISPR/Cas technology is a powerful technique for gene editing, with impressive accuracy and efficiency. It has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of genetic diseases and various other disorders. Before approval for general use, the researchers evaluate a novel therapy’s safety and effectiveness using clinical trials. The applications of CRISPR/Cas systems in clinical trials, which are promising to treat cancer and infectious diseases, have thus far posed significant challenges to conventional medical interventions. However, improving the effectiveness, precision, and practical applications of CRISPR/Cas gene editing technology will prove to be challenging regarding its introduction into clinical trials. Therefore, the paper will initially discuss the objectives and applications of CRISPR/Cas technology. We have discussed the possible uses of this approach for challenges and diseases such as cancer and infectious conditions, as well as some promising case reports. At last, the paper highlights the challenges remaining to be addressed to successfully apply CRISPR-Cas to medical conditions.
