Abstract
The reaction of tetrakis(tri-tert-butylsilyl)tetrasilatetrahedrane (1) with trityl tetrakis[3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]borate (TFPB) gave protonated tetrasilatetrahedrane-monooxide, (tertBu3Si)4 Si4OH (2+), whose structure was determined by X-ray crystallography.
