Biocatalytic One-step Synthesis of n-Octyl (beta)-D-Xylotrioside and Xylobioside from Xylan and n-Octanol in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide

Tris(2,2ʹ-bipyridine)ruthenium(II) and partially quaternized poly(l-vinylimidazole)-bound ruthenium(II) complexes have excellent stability during the photo-oxidation of 1,3cyclopentadiene and can be sufficiently and repeatedly used as photosensitizers.
