Abstract :
Novel organic–inorganic hybrid cages composed of a half-caged silsesquioxane skeleton and a benzene ring have been synthesized by cobalt-catalyzed intramolecular cyclotrimerization of a silsesquioxane bearing three dimethylethynylsilyl groups.
