Abstract :
A recyclable liquid phase process for preparation of (epsilon)-caprolactam via the Beckmann rearrangement of cyclohexanone oxime is developed by utilizing Lewis acidic ionic liquid as catalyst and a mixture of supercritical CO2 and chloroform as extractant.
