Issues for nuclear plants in a deregulated electricity supply industry

During the next decade we can expect to see an accelerating trend for governments worldwide to privatize and|or deregulate major portions of their countryʹs electricity supply industry. This paper discusses the various issues which will impact nuclear plants in a deregulated electricity supply industry, with specific reference to the recent deregulation programme in the state of California (which borrowed heavily from the English programme).
