Looking back to the future

In the wake of the Government White Paper on energy policy, the future of nuclear power generation remains uncertain. However, the Government fully recognizes the importance both of diversity in the energy market and of the reduction of emissions. It also acknowledges the contribution that nuclear would make towards these issues. This paper considers these topics in relation to the findings of the Trade and Industry Select Committee on Energy Policy and how these findings reflect on the future of the nuclear industry.
