Abstract :
Various aspects of Finsler geometry are simplified in the case of the Finsler space FPD. In particular, the Cartan torsion tensor has a simple algebraic structure, the indicatrix is a closed and convex lenticular hypersurface of constant positive curvature, and the associated Hamiltonian function is obtained in an explicit and convenient form. Applying the 3-dimensional case of FPD to geometrize the appropriate space suggests a clear idea how to extend the Maxwell distribution law and the distribution of momenta in a consistent Finslerian way.
