Abstract :
In this paper, the author presents a method which gives, in time-domain, the closed-form expression of the output and internal node voltages, for a ladder network formed by n RC equal elementary cells, when an input step function is applied. This is done in order to perform the simulation of the "turning on" behavior of a distributed RC-network, which is considered a good model of interconnections and, in some cases, of transmission lines. A comparison between the theoretical results and Spice simulations is also given.
