Design of lapped orthogonal transforms

In this correspondence, we present some properties and new rcsults of paraunitary filter banks. We concentrate on the case where the filter length L = 2 l i , where li is the number of channels. The aim is to design perceptually relevant filters, i.e., linear-phase filters that smoothly decay to zero at the boundaries.
