Customizing commercialized technology

Research is expected to be a significant enabler of the ongoing electronics enhancement of system performance that will lead to electronics capability that can only be talked about now and ensure that the technological needs of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) will be met. The purpose of this article is to introduce one example of the type of research undertaken to meet the needs of high performance DoD systems, especially those constrained by severe space, weight, and power constraints.
