Computation of electromagnetic transients on nonuniform transmission lines

A nonuniform transmission line model is presented, based on a finite-differences algorithm to solve the wave equations for any space variation of the h e parameters. This Line model is interfaced with ERTTP and used for representing transmission line towers. Results are obtained for comparison with other solution methods, showing a good performance of the proposed model. Computer simulation of experimental tests is performed, and a good agreement between the simulation results and the published experimental results i s found, the tower losses being considered as a frequencyconstant nonuniform parameter.
