Analysis of ferroresonant circuits using a Newton-Raphson scheme

The phenomenon of ferroresonance in power system has usually been studied with the method of harmonic balance. A Newton-Raphson scheme has been presented in this paper and it has been used to determine the several steady-state solutions of a typical ferroresonant circuit. The determination of turning points, bifurcation points and bifurcating branches has been described.
