Abstract :
A new topology is presented of a voltage-clamped high-frequency inverter with phaseshifting current-vector control, which can operate efficiently under zero-current soft switchng (ZCS) so as to minimise switching losses over a wide output power regulation range. Output power of this inverter can be regulated continuously from its maximum value to minimum by a phase-shift control under a fixed frequency. This inverter is suitable for induction heating, high-intensity ultrasonic generation and ozone generation. Its circuit operation and performance are analysed on the basis of computer-aided simulation. The simulation results are in good agreement with experimental ones obtained from a feasible breadboard.
