Abstract
The current soiircc resonant inverter (CSRI) is at the heart of inany systems and
equipment (e.g. unintcrruptible power supply (UPS) and high-frequency annealing (H FA)
equipment). Many topologies shown in open literal iirc are series resonant converters (SRC) and
parallcl resonant converters (PRC) that consist of two or thrcc cncrgy storage clcnicnts. Howevcr,
they have a number of limitations. Thcsc limitations of two- or/and threc- element resonant
topologies can be ovciʹconie by adding a fourth cncrgy storage element. This paper introduces a
cascade doLiblc r CL CSRI, which has very sniootli waveforms for output voltage and current,
and a very low total harmonic distortion (THD) value. It effectively reduces the power losscs and
largely increases the power transfer efficiency. Simulation and testing rcsults verified our design and
analysis.
