Computational Problems in the Calculation of Temperature Effects for Heterogeneous Nuclear Reactor Unit Cells

The paper is devoted to the investigation of the influence of a non-uniform radial temperature distribution in a fuel ʹrod on the multiplication factor of a three-zone cylindrical unit cell. The importance of accounting for the correct profile of the fuel temperature is shown, and a formula for the calculation of an "effective average" fuel temperature is proposed
