A tool for integrated hvac, building, energy and control analysisPart 2: control simulations with QUICKcontrol

Good control is the most cost-effective way to reduce plant size, save energy, and reduce maintenance costs. However, it has not always been easy to convince a building owner of the monetary value of investing in better controls. To help sell the idea of better control, the control designer needs an easy to use but accurate tool, which simultaneously solves the building thermal, the HVAC system and its control performance. In this paper such a tool is applied to practical situations to illustrate the value of various control strategies.
