Abstract :
Absolute second-order rate data for fluorine atom abstraction by ground state atomic cesium, Cs(62S1/2), with the molecules SF6, CF3H, and CF4 are reported for elevated temperatures using time-resolved laser-induced fluorescence [CS(72P3/2 - 62S1/2), λ = 455.5 nm] following pulsed irradiation. The results are compared with previous measurements derived from time-resolved atomic resonance absorption spectroscopy in the “single-shot mode.”
