Abstract :
The present paper deals with shear strengthening of reinforced concrete beams by means of thin fiber-reinforced composite plates. First, the theoretical model is presented. It is then applied to the shear strengthening of a 7-beam. This beam is also used to investigate the effects of some design parameters on the ultimate shear strength. © 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd.
