Abstract :
The pressure drops and fluid flow frictions have been measured in a frame-type three-phase membrane contactor consisting of 1058 polysulfone hollow fibers with 0.6 mm inside diameter using nitrogen, oxygen, and water–glycerol mixtures as working fluids. The results were compared for two different positions of the shell-side tube connections and for two different flow lines inside the fibers. The dependence of tube-side and shell-side Eu on Re was correlated for each phase and flow line.
