Abstract :
Experiments in channel flow with pairs of rectangular winglets arranged periodically in both the streamwise and spanwise directions were conducted. The winglets were mounted on one of the channel walls. The Reynolds number based on half the channel height was 11,000. The measurements were done with an X-wire and a quadruplee hot-wire probe. Results of the three components of the mean velocity and the long-time-averaged Reynolds stresses and the turbulent kinetic energy for two planes of measurement are presented.
