Abstract :
The Galerkin method enriched with residual-free bubbles is considered for approximating the solution of the Helmholtz equation. Two-dimensional tests demonstrate the improvement over the standard Galerkin method and the Galerkin-least-squares method using piecewise bilinear interpolation
