Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae Causal Agent of Disease on Floral Buds of Actinidia deliciosa (A. Chev) Liang et Ferguson in Italy

Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae as causa! agent of floral buds necrosis, has been isolated from kiwifruit plants cv. Hayward in Italy. The pathogen has been identified on the basis of morphological, biochemical and physiological features and also on the basis of pathogenicity. Symptoms, similar to those caused by Pseudomonas viridiflava—browning and darkening on floral buds, have been observed on kiwifruit plants in a wide area in the North of Latium region (central Italy), in Viterbo province
