Abstract :
Vietnam lies on the contact between the East Sea basin and the
continental ridge of Indochina. More than 300 hot mineral manifestations with
temperatures varying from 30 ° to 105°C have been identified. Water resources
have also been tapped by about 100 wells, with temperatures varying between
30 ° and 148°C. Six prospect areas have already been identified: the Northwest,
Northeast, Bacbo plain, North Trungbo, South Trungbo and Nambo, all of
which occur in regions of recent tectonic activity. © 1998 CNR. Published by
