Comparable transmission service—The new standard

AEP has voluntarily opened its transmission system to use by third parties, in keeping with the letter and spirit of the law, and hopes other transmission system owners will do the same. It will aggressively seek to be fully compensated for the use of its transmission system from its various users, believing that rates which are too generous to wheeling customers would be unfair to native load customers.
